We grant also right in registration for Topographies of Integrated Circuits (any solution consisting of three-dimensional arrangement of the elements, however expressed, at least one of which is an active element, and of all or some interconnections in an integrated circuit).

Topography protection shall terminate 10 years from the end of the calendar year in which the topography or an integrated circuit embodying such topography was put on the market or from the end of the calendar year in which the topography was applied for registration with the Patent Office, whichever term expires earlier.

The right in topography registration shall also terminate 15 years from its creation or fixing, if that period expires before the expiry of a period for which the right in registration has been granted and the topography has not been exploited for commercial purposes during that time.

Fees

There is a single fee for the application of a topography of integrated circuits of PLN 250.

Renewals (PLN):

For the first period of protection of the topography of integrated circuits covering a period of up to five years the fee totals: PLN 550

For the second period of protection of the topography of integrated circuits covering the remaining years of protection: PLN 800

On the territory of the Republic of Poland supplementary protection rights are granted on the conditions laid down in the regulations no. 1768/92/EEC and no. 1610/96/EC concerning the creation in the European Union of supplementary protection certificates for medicinal products and plant protection products.

 

The grant of a supplementary protection right is evidenced by the issue of a supplementary protection certificate.

Fees

For a request for a supplementary protection right there is a fee of PLN 550 applicable.
