According to Romanian law, a work of intellectual creation shall be acknowledged and protected, without regard for its disclosure to the public, simply by virtue of its creation. Copyright comes into effect immediately, as soon as the work is created and fixed in some way, eg on paper, on film, via sound recording, as an electronic record on the internet etc.  

  No formalities are required to ensure protection for those rights. The registration in the National Registers, managed by the Romanian Copyright Office (ORDA), of audiovisual works or computer programs is optional.
