step 2 | You prepare and file an application form “Application to register a design”. You must send us three identical copies of your illustrations with this application. |

step 4 | Once a design application is filed and the formal conditions are met, the application is published in the Official Bulletin of Industrial Property (BOPI), upon payment of a fee. Interested parties may oppose the registration of the design with OSIM in writing. |
step 5 | We are examine the application on the substantive grounds for refusal of registration, to determine if it is new or has individual character. We will object to registration if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the design is not new or that it lacks individual character compared to previous designs. |
step 6 | If the registration is approved, a protection title is granted, namely the Design/Model Registration Certificate. |

Yes, provided the grounds for cancellation are related only to the failure to comply with the registration conditions.

The deadline is the entire lifetime of the design protection.
